WHAT DOES PEACE LOOK LIKE? WHAT DOES PEACE SOUND LIKE?
Not to know what war means: to enjoy fireworks without thinking of illumination rockets and roar of guns; sleeping children, a litter of sleeping rabbits; if nobody feels superior to his neighbor, when no religion considers itself superior to others; open discussions instead of preconception; a hot Summer’s day and ‘whole’ Ireland at the beach, a hot bath after a long day at work in Winter; to relax in rough pasture in Tenna/Grison and listen to the distant cow bell’s sound; dead silence somewhere in the mountains; when people may demonstrate for their interests without being attacked or shot; to commute with a member of the Swiss Federal Council or the National Assembly in the same Intercity compartment in the morning, and nobody takes any notice; to look forward to next week, to next year; to see the privilege of being allowed to live a life in peace.
