At first I wanted to answer very poetic something like ‘peace is the fleeting moment between inhale and exhale’. But then I thought, no, that is not the look, that is just the one short moment of peace in a breathing universe. The look of peace to me is a rather stressed face. Starting right in front of your own house with neighbours, clients, goods to sell, goods to buy, education to finance, decisions to be made, …. “In every house there is trouble. And if there is no trouble – no one lives in it. “ this is one of the favorite sayings of my mother. And if Agatha Christie found all her stories in St. Mary Mead as her definition of a world full of stories – we all should try to find ‘the look of peace’ in our own, old and eventually already a bit scratched mirror at home.
